Farewell Mass and Play Day
May 18th, 2009Please mark your calendars for one of the most memorable school Masses of the year. This Friday, May 22nd, we will be having our Farewell Mass (outside of rooms 9, 10 & 11). This is the day to remember your tissues because the 1st graders will be saying goodbye to the 8th graders. It completes the circle that began in the fall when our 8th grade welcomed our 1st grade to St. Anthony’s. When the tears are dry, our famous Play Day begins. The students are divided into four teams and they play games all day long. Volunteers are still needed to help supervise this huge event. Please sign up in the school office. We ask that volunteers arrive by 9:45. The games begin at 10:30 and finish up with the tug-of-war around 2:00. If you would like to help, please sign up in the school office. Play Day Scrip - If you have not already returned your Play Day Scrip Order form please use the one in this packet. Cash is not accepted on Play Day, only Scrip. In addition to the 8th grade snack bar, the Snack Shack will also be open and will only accept Scrip. Both the Snack Bar and Snack Shack will be open after lunch.
