Dear St. Anthony Families,

Welcome back to a great school year! As new principal, I’m thrilled to take over the reigns of Mr. McConnico who did such a great job during his tenure here.

As I have been quickly settling in, I have had some time to meet with Mr. McConnico,

Mr. Neumeier and the office staff to get a glimpse of what has been happening on campus and plan for the year ahead. Having served at St. Anthony’s as both classroom teacher and parent for eight years, I am blessed to know many staff members and families already. I look forward to meeting many, many more in the days and weeks to come.

I probably don’t have to tell you how truly special St. Anthony’s School is. My own two boys were nurtured and educated here and have now grown into young men filled with faith and enthusiasm for the life God has planned for them. People care about people here. I feel very lucky to have been brought back to serve as Principal. If you don’t already know, I served as Principal at Our Lady of Perpetual Help School in Clovis from 2006-2011. The blessings I received from working at such a wonderful school with the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception, an active and involved Pastor, and great staff are too numerous to mention. We accomplished a lot in five years and I look forward to working hard this year with all of you.

Soon I will meet with PTO and School Board Members. I look forward to their guidance and gusto as we forge ahead and build upon the successes and plan for the needs of our school.

I hope that you plan to become active and involved, always looking for opportunity to listen, observe and meet with a board member or myself to share your thoughts and ideas!

I will be on campus and working each day leading up to our Ice Cream Social on Thursday August 18th. Please stop in and introduce yourself & your child or to say hello. I have been studying the yearbook trying to learn names but it’s going to take the real faces to make names stick! I look forward to meeting all new families and sharing lots of information with you that will help make the transition to our school go smoothly.

There is a lot of information included in the Back to School packet so get yourself a nice cool drink, a pen with lots of ink, and ask the kids to give you some time to think. Review the calendar and complete the papers that need to be returned on the first day of school then dig into the rest! You can do it. Let us know if you have any questions and remember that we are here to help. ?

Sincerely,

Mrs. Kim Cochran, Principal
