1st Grade – 1L

Mrs. Elizabeth Leonard
First Grade

Welcome to 1L at Saint Anthony’s! I am honored to be working with your child this year in first grade. I look forward to partnering with you to grow our first graders into eager learners and responsible students. First grade is a tremendous time for growth and I am confident it will be a positive year for your student as we build on past successes and learn new things!

This is my fourth year teaching in the classroom and my second year on staff at Saint Anthony’s School. I received my Masters of Arts in Teaching, Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Bachelor of Arts from Saint Mary’s College of California. I hold a clear California multiple subject credential after receiving my BTSA certification.

I am born and raised in Fresno and a proud graduate of San Joaquin Memorial High School. For the past few years, I have worked as both a first grade teacher and a kindergarten teacher. I love working with students who are learning to read and building confidence in their writing abilities. It is truly spectacular to watch! This year, we build our foundation in reading, mathematics and religion. Students learn about God’s love, the world around them and their special skills.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or comments as we get to know one another this school year.
