Second Grade
Welcome to Mrs. Gennock’s 2nd grade. I am anticipating an incredibly exciting, rewarding, stimulating, action-packed, growing, learning school year. Our days will be filled with literature, numbers, science, social studies, and most importantly Jesus Christ. He will be the center of each day and the focus of our hearts and minds. The children will grow in their understanding of Jesus’ love for each of them and learn a great deal about the time Christ walked on Earth as a teacher. I will stress the importance of sharing Christ with everyone they encounter each and every day. They will learn the importance of forgiveness and saying, “I’m sorry”. They will learn they cannot just be a hearer of God’s word, but that they are called to be a doer of God’s word. Hopefully, as we journey towards First Communion the children will witness the radiance of Christ’s unconditional love for us through the Eucharist. It is my prayer that each of my students will grow in God’s goodness and love as this school year progresses. I will thank God each day for the gift of my students. I will love them, challenge, them and encourage them to use the many talents God has blessed them with.
